What Is A Photofacial?
A photofacial, also known as IPL or intense-pulsed light photofacial, is a safe, effective anti-aging procedure that can be used to target a wide range of skin blemishes and conditions on the face, neck, chest, hands, and other parts of the body as needed. Regular photofacial treatments will reduce the appearance of blemishes and keep skin looking smooth, even, and healthy for many years.
Photofacials work by using light to stimulate deep layers of skin. Using a non-ablative laser carefully calibrated to focus on darker pigments, the photofacial device will target underlying tissue at the root of many common skin discolorations.
Along with targeting particular blemishes, the photofacial process also stimulates the regeneration of collagen in affected skin cells, restoring an even tone and texture to treated areas, leaving you with a general healthy glow.

Laser Treatment for Scarring
Acne scars and surgical scars may be a cause of a person’s emotional and or physical pain and affect their quality of life. In severe cases, scars can even limit a person’s mobility. Here at Aesthetic Skin Rx, we use the Palomar Laser System for removal of these scars:
Surgical scar removal procedures are painful and invasive and have a risk for complications. Laser scar removal from Palomar® offers a noninvasive solution that uses fractional laser technology to deliver rapid, reliable scar removal with less risk, less pain and minimal downtime.
This fractional laser technology is the driving power behind the acne and surgical scar removal procedure. It use pulses of laser light to coagulate scar tissue and trigger healthy new tissue to form in clients’ skin. Healing time is minimal, infection risk is eliminated and little to no pain is felt.
Laser scar removal with Palomar is appropriate for use on all skin types, making it the preferred method of scar removal for excellent clinical outcomes.
Skin Renewal Laser Treatment for Spider Veins, Broken Capillaries, Sun Damage, Age Spots and Rosacea…
Palomar® offers skin care lasers and pulsed light devices that deliver energy to target and destroy vascular and pigmented lesions associated with spider veins, reticular veins, rosacea, telangiectasias, hemangiomas, sun damage, age spots, dyschromia, melasma, poikiloderma, and angiomas from hands, legs, chest, arms and face.
Using the principle of selective photothermolysis, these treatments target different chromophores in the skin, which selectively absorb the laser or light energy as heat and yield the desired response. These optimal wavelengths of light clear vascular and pigmented lesions by targeting the chromophores of hemoglobin (for vascular lesions) and melanin (for pigmented lesions). These damaged lesions are then cleared by the body, removing the appearance of the lesion from the skin. Pigmented lesions undergo a mild desquamation and slough off within two or three days, while the vascular lesions blanch and then resolve within 10 to 14 days.
- Excellent aesthetic results with minimal treatment time
- Less treatment pain
- Little to no downtime
